League City's

Fall Feathers Challenge

Fall Feathers Galore

Fall Migration is here! League City is a hot spot during fall bird migration, which begins as early as July and lasts through November. Birds can migrate from as far as the Artic tundra, and travel down south as far as southern Brazil.

Celebrate this momentous trek with us through League City’s Fall Feathers Challenge. Are you ready to discover our Fall Collection?

Meet the Flock

Have you seen them? Seven of our feathered friends have landed at the Clear Creek Nature Center for the season and want to meet YOU during the Fall Feathers Challenge. They’ve made their homes in birdhouses scattered throughout the Nature Center and it’s up to you to find them while following the Feather Trail.

Broaden your bird knowledge by clicking the images below and learning something new about our Fall Collection.

Follow, Gather, and WIN!

How to Play the Challenge

Travel along the Feather Trail by following a Fall Collection map of the Nature Center. While hiking, keep an eye out for new birdhouses along the trails. Our feathered friends are hiding inside these little homes. When you find one, wave hello to the feathered friend waiting for you and open the birdhouse door to claim your own copy of the Fall Collection Cards. Collect all seven cards and take them to Helen Hall Library, where you can show them off and claim your prizes for collecting them.
