Wondering what’s happening this summer? We’ve compiled a list of fun-filled events for Summer 2022 and there’s something for everyone to enjoy!


June Events

Spend the day at Kemah Boardwalk and celebrate the start of summer break with the Fireworks Summer Kickoff event on June 3 at 9:30 p.m. Need a little dance music? Enjoy live entertainment on Thursday and Sunday nights, now through July 31 during Rock the Dock and Tejano Music Nights. For Father’s Day celebrations, visit the Boardwalk on June 19 and buy one all-day ride pass to receive $5 off Dad’s all-day pass.


On Saturday, June 4, the League City Parks and Recreation department is planning a fun-filled morning of games, crafts, putt putt golf, story time, Nature with Kristine, and more for #NationalTrailsDay. Stop by beautiful Rustic Oaks Park (5101 Orange Blossom Ct.) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.


Blast off with Space Center Houston during the Moon 2 Mars Festival, an annual event featuring emerging ideas and technologies that will transport humans to the Moon, Mars and beyond. From June 9–12, this part-festival, part-business conference will have indoor and outdoor exhibits, live entertainment, educational programming, and more. It’s going to be out of this world.

Book your room for a weekend of tropical fun because South Shore Harbour Resort is celebrating summer in style with their Summer Jam Staycation from June 10–11. Hang out at the hotel’s Oasis Pool with a poolside bar and enjoy live entertainment on Friday night and Saturday morning. Dress in your best beach attire (please, no swimsuits) and attend the Summer Jam Dinner & Dance that Saturday evening.


For anyone celebrating 10 or more years of marriage, attend Date Night at Butler’s Courtyard on June 17 and make your anniversary special with dinner, dessert, and drinks! Butler’s Courtyard is even offering to play the song from your first dance together as a married couple. Tickets are $150 and the event lasts from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.


Make a toast during Thursday Night Wine Dinners at South Shore Harbour Resort. These dinners occur every other month, so mark your calendars for the next two wine and dines. Reserve a seat for June 16, where the theme is Battle of the Wines: Texas vs. California. Or book August 18 in advance for your spot at the South American Wine Dinner.

Ride into the weekend in celebration of freedom, sisterhood, and fellowship at the BGR Juneteenth Freedom Ride from June 17-19. Itinerary includes meet and greets, riding to Galveston to view the Emancipation Mural, and riding to Houston for a celebration at Emancipation Park.


Mark your calendars for June 22–26 and don’t miss out on the five-day long annual Texas Outlaw Challengeand all the crazy fun it brings with it. From exciting parties and high-speed boat races on Clear Lake to grand fishing tournaments, this year’s Texas Outlaw Challenge is going to be epic.


Dress in white, grab your friends and family, and enjoy a sophisticated evening of art, live music, food, and history at League City’s White Linen Night Art Crawl on June 25. Over 120 artists will be showcasing their works along the streets of League City Historic District from 4 to 8 p.m.

Hop onboard a Houston Party Boat and sail across the waters of Clear Lake for a two-hour adult cruise. Hosted by South Shore Harbour Resort, these Sip n Sail Cruises are every fourth Saturday of the month and include beer, wine, light snacks, and a specialty drink from the Sponsor of the Month. Dates are June 25, July 23, and August 27, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations are $55 per person.


Bring your chairs and enjoy live entertainment during Music at the Museum–courtesy of the League City Historical Society–on June 25 and July 29 at 7 p.m. If you’re a history buff, stop by and listen to a history lecture on the 75th anniversary of the Texas City Disaster on June 30, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.


July Events

Get ready for July festivities with Kemah Boardwalk. Purchase your Patriot Pass from July 1 through July 4 and enjoy unlimited visits to Pleasure Pier, Kemah Boardwalk, and Downtown Aquarium Houston. Spend a full day at the Boardwalk on July 4 for rides, food, live music, and patriotic fireworks that start at 9:30 p.m. If you’re feeling a bit country, Wednesday nights are for Kickin’ It Country with free country music concerts starting July 6.


League City has our own take on Independence Day fun, with the annual and FREE July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket and enjoy an evening with family and friends with live music, food trucks, inflatables, and of course, fireworks.

August Events

Enjoy the performing arts with Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre’s new musical, An American in Paris. Performance dates are August 5-7 & August 12-14. Purchase your tickets online.


Ready your paddles because the Clear Creek Paddle Race is back for another year of water fun on the Clear Creek Paddle Trail. Race day is on August 13 at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside Park, from 8 a.m. to noon.
