League City Fall Events Round Up

It’s fall, y’all! Find out what fun and exciting events are happening in League City this season.


August Events

Enjoy the performing arts with Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre’s new musical, An American in Paris. This musical is a famous George and Ira Gershwin classic. Performance dates are August 5-7 & August 12-14. Purchase your tickets online.


Visit waterfront restaurants like Barge 295, CABO, and Villa Capri for the perfect view of the weekly Wednesday Night Sailboat Races on Clear Lake. These races last all through August and September and start promptly at 6:15 p.m.

Sailboat Races

Ready your paddles because the Clear Creek Paddle Race is back for another year of water fun on the Clear Creek Paddle Trail. Race day is on August 13 at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside Park, from 8 a.m. to noon. Registration is still open, and all are welcome to participate!


Make a toast during Thursday Night Wine Dinners at South Shore Harbour Resort. These dinners occur every month, so mark your calendars for the next few wines and dines. Reserve a seat for August 18, where the theme is South American Wine. Or book in advance for dates like September 15 for the Makers Mark Whiskey Dinner or October 13 for the Women of the Vine Wine Dinner.


Bring your lawn chairs and jam together with the League City Historical Society and League City Folk Association during their monthly Music at the Museum events. Each event starts at 7 p.m. and dates include August 26, September 30, and October 28.

Music at the Museum

Hop onboard a Houston Party Boat and sail across the waters of Clear Lake for a two-hour adult cruise. Hosted by South Shore Harbour Resort, these Sip n Sail Cruises are every fourth Saturday of the month and include beer, wine, light snacks, and a specialty drink from the Sponsor of the Month. Dates are August 27 and September 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations are $55 per person.


September Events

Celebrate Arbor Day with EcoFest on September 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EcoFest is a free community event focused on sustainable living and eco-friendly practices. There will be exhibits, chalk art, free tree giveaway (while supplies last), eco sessions, and much more!

October Events

Experience a taste of Bay Area Houston with Taste of the Bay, a family-friendly event hosted by the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce. Try some of Bay Area Houston’s local restaurants, wineries, and breweries at the Field of Dreams, Big League Dreams Sports Park on October 6, from 6 to 9 p.m.


Bring the whole family out to the annual Harvest Festival on October 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at League Park. Enjoy crafts, face painting, games, hayrides, a pumpkin carving contest, a kids’ costume contest, and more!


Watch the Blue Angels take to the skies during the annual Wings Over Houston Airshow. Running As one of the top air shows in the United States, this premier Houston event is dedicated to showcasing vintage World War II aircraft, along with the thrills of modern aviation, and has supported a variety of local and national charities during its 37-year history. Dates are October 29-30.
