🇺🇸 Celebrate 4th of July in League City 🇺🇸

Updated: Jun 20

The Fourth of July is always a time of fantastic celebration and remembrance across our great country, and League City is no exception when it comes to patriotic festivities. Check out how you can celebrate Independence Day—League City style!

July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza

What’s better than celebrating Independence Day on July 4? Celebrating it on July 3! The annual Fireworks Extravaganza—one of League City’s most popular events—is back and bigger than ever, with food trucks, games, inflatables, live music, and fireworks galore. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex and admission is free. Bring your family and friends, grab some lawn chairs and blankets, and come enjoy a spectacular patriotic evening celebrating our freedom.

Classic Americana

If you’re looking for some nostalgic Americana, look no further than League City’s Historic District. Decked out in red, white, and blue, this quaint area of League City offers an atmosphere of patriotic charm. The Shoppes at Founder’s Square, decorated with ribbons and star-spangled bunting, offer a respite from the heat and a fantastic boutique shopping experience with plenty of Southern hospitality.

Freedom Cruise

Hop on board a Houston Party Boat and sail around Galveston Bay while celebrating America’s 245th birthday with local veterans and patriots. The Freedom Cruise is a special boating experience hosted by SERVE, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources and information to veterans of southeast Texas. Enjoy drinks, a snack buffet, a live DJ, and front row seats to the firework show. All ticket proceeds will be donated to SERVE. Purchase your tickets here.

The Great Outdoors

Soak up the sun and celebrate the 4th of July in nature. Enjoy a leisurely morning kayak down the Clear Creek Paddle Trail, boat and fish in the waters of Clear Lake, or explore League City’s scenic trail system. Pack a picnic and spend the day enjoying your freedom in the natural beauty of Texas.

Don’t Want it to End?

Don’t miss out on exciting celebrations happening in our neighboring communities. Keep the party rolling in Friendswood at their 129th annual 4th of July Celebration: Music of America on July 4, complete with food, live entertainment, a fireworks show, and a parade. Travel over to the Kemah Boardwalk for a thrilling day of amusement park rides, games, seafood restaurants, and a dazzling fireworks show over Galveston Bay to end the night with a bang.

Add League City to your July 4 itinerary this year as we celebrate our country’s birthday in good old-fashioned red, white, and blue style.
