The holidays are upon us, and that means extended family and friends coming to town to celebrate together. Here are some ways to make holiday memories with your family in League City, Texas.
Go on a photo tour
League City is getting in the holiday spirit with some larger-than-life decorations. Travel down to League Park in the Historic District and snap photos at the festively decorated gazebo or take a seat in the bright red ornament in front of our 55-foot-tall holiday tree. Stop by Helen’s Garden and shine brightly beside a giant Christmas star or strike a pose under snowflakes lining the garden walls. Capture that perfect selfie next to huge 'MERRY' and 'JOY' sign at City Hall and Helen Hall Library, coupled with two giant, brightly lit Christmas stars.
Explore the museums
Travel back in time to Old League City while visiting the Barn Musuem and One Room Schoolhouse. Brush up on your League City history by taking a tour through curated artifacts and historic buildings dating all the way back to 1898. The museums are open on the weekends and entry is free to the public. Guests can explore the rest of the Historic District after wrappping up a tour at the museums. Attend a local holiday event
Holiday events are constantly happening, and you won't want to miss a second of it this season. Nutcracker in the Park is the ultimate Shop Small Saturday experince happening on Nov. 30, complete with shopping, food, ballet lessons, and more. The annual League City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 1 is the perfect way to ring in the holidays. Spend a full weekend (Dec. 6-8) in League Park during the festive Holiday in the Park, full of grand parades, holiday vendors, and smiles and laughs. Immerse yourself in history during Old League City Christmas on Dec. 14-15, and experince historical demos, porch parties, vintage vehicles, the traditional airing of the quilts, and more.
